::Polite staff, specially at reception - they always try to help. Inner counters sometimes they become a little annoying : [-1 star because they say no mobile, they don't even talk to a person who can speak French/Dutch on phone to help the visitor and they use personal mobiles while sitting on the counters] In general good attitude. - Thursdays are most populated avoid coming in the later hours (6-7pm) else you have to wait long or might not get a ticket. - Good connection with public transport as well, can take Buses or Tram (few minutes walk)

::3months ago, I delivered documents to apply work permit because my ID will expire 28 of Feb.Until 13 of March I got my work permit. But City hall needs 1 month at least to renew ID. The most important thing I will back to my country 29 of march. Is there proper way to solve this issue? I mean is it possible city hall provides provement to ensure I can back to my country and no bad influence of my passport. After I get this provement I do not need to renew ID. Thx a lot! Hi, but my ID issue is still solved, can you help me to check

::I can't imagine a worst service. Waiting time is unbelievable, more than 2 hours to get into a window with a person saying that he can't accept the document because it is the original one. I had no problem with him taking the original as it is a document that I could get again in less than 5 minutes. What is shocking is the fact that the same procedure was done twice in the Ixelles commune in less than 30 minutes and without incompetent workers. This shows that the problem is this specific commune.

::Terrible working hours, if you have a job or go to university the only day you can sum it your documents is Thursday. They barely speak English. After a police officer visited my apparent to check if I live there, the letter with next steps for registration never came. Had to go there again where they turned me around saying I need to bring a picture. When I returned the next week and waited another 30 min in line, they said that picture doesn't suit their requirements. Terrible communication.

::Incredibly limited hours make it very difficult to visit if you have a job. For all the taxes paid in Belgium, one would think they could operate offices for more than 4 hours a day. Also, tons of conflicting information provided by different people - each visit is unique and confusing in its own way. It doesn't instill much confidence that the commune staff aren't familiar with their own regulations. Tons of time wasted getting my residence permit sorted out. Also, the requirement to give up your driver's license (and be without one for 8 weeks until a Belgian replacement is issued) is absurd and ridiculously inconvenient.
