    Best restaurant in Leuven. The service is amazing, the food equally good. Cosy during all seasons. Typical Belgium cuisine.

    Worst experience ever I went to this restaurant to have dinner in a big group of people. We were sitting right behind the window and my jacket got burnt due to a small candle nobody of us saw before. The candle was placed right behind me. We unfortunately left all our belongings (jackets and bags) in there since the staff did not inform us there was a hanger in the restaurant. I expected their insurance company to cover costs of this incident (as it is the usual case), not only in terms of my burnt jacket, but also the medical costs we had to cope with after suffering serious burns in our hands and arm when trying to smothering the fire ourselves. [See photos attached to this opinion.] After writing an e-mail to the restaurant, they let me know they would contact the insurance company to compensate us as soon as possible. More than 3 months later, the insurance company claimed the candle was "visible to our eyes", so they took no responsibility. I found this completely unacceptable, as we obviously could not see the candle and prevent the incident to happen. Seeing this situation, I asked the manager if something could be done from their side. Had I been the manager of the restaurant, I would have taken action myself and payed for all the damages and inconveniences caused to the clients (us). But no, they completely disregarded this and just mentioned they did not feel responsible of what happened. Avoid this place, they obviously don't care about their customers at all.

    Hank was an excellent host! Your food and drink recommendations were great. The escargot was perfect. Served in a ceramic bed with butter and garlic, out of the shell. I had the pork cheek, oh my that meat was so soft and delicious. Finished off with the gingerbread tiramisu. The gingerbread is a crumble sprinkled on top. French Fries were perfect.
