::Too costly for a second hand shop and the service is not so good and costly too.

::Still one of the best antique's seller in Brussels. But the store can get really cold. Staff is OK. Prices are OK but sometimes odd.

::If you're an expat and need furniture and home dec items in a hurry---and want reasonable prices, too---please visit this second hand/used items store. Lots of locations to visit between Mons and Brussels regions, and I guarantee it will perk you right back up, after you've been stunned into unconsciousness by the prices elsewhere. Even IKEA is pricey here in Brussels, so I was relieved to find a dining room table with parquet top, 2 extensions, plus 6 matching chairs in the French Provencal ( or revival) style for ~140 Euro, plus 40 Euro delivery. It was delivered within 3 days and has proved to be sturdy, beautiful and the best thing we've bought since we arrived. In the same delivery we also had 2 oak-frame, leather upholstered chairs, well-made and perfect for the "mancave" video game room in the basement, which were 40 Euro for the pair. Granted, you have to go back again and again to fill your completely empty house; everything's on commission or secondhand, from estate auctions/buyouts. New stuff is moving in and out all the time, so it's never the same place twice. Beware: some if it is fake-period, a lot is repro, and much of the wall art/paintings are truly junky. But so many gems are hidden here! I found an authentic litho stone w/image for 20 Euro, which would have cost me a minimum of 3 times that---or more---in a swanky shop. Labels on each piece tell part of the story, and the employees always tell the truth if you ask them if an item is authentic or period. We've been pleasantly surprised by our 3 visits to the small Evere store, and plan trips to the bigger one near Mons, very soon. The younger store manager w/dark hair at the Evere store speaks English well, and is happy to do so. If you, like me, love antiques, garage sales, estate auctions, etc---you will love picking through the trash here, to find your own treasures. Cautions: Keep a tight hold on small children--items are often stacked haphazardly, or very dirty/dusty, with sharp corners and metal pieces sticking out into the aisles. Parking is truly minimal and maneuvering difficult in the very small drive.

::This shop is part of a the TROC chain, there are other TROC used-furniture/electronics shops around Brussels. This one specializes in furniture. We bought there a dining table with chairs and fitting cupboard. Sometimes it is possible to bargain for a piece.
