  Mmmm, that English section hidden way in the back, near the comic books, has some hidden gems at midrange prices. Other than that, Standaard Boekhandel tends to be overpriced, but that's more the fault of Belgian culture and our printing practices. If it's not hardcover, it's trade paperback made in such low numbers you'll be paying over €20 for any random book you might want in Dutch, if you're not too shocked by the cloth bound gargantuan hardcovers, with immense spacing on bleached paper, for which you're likely expected to pay somewhere around €35.

  Centrum Gent aan de Kouter. Naast de opera van Gent Grote ondergrondse maar wel dure parking.
