  Een heerlijk weekend beleefd in Ieper. Het verblijf in B&B Oude Houtmarkt heeft ons erg bevallen. Oude Houtmarkt is een (h)eerlijke B&B . Het warme onthaal en de goede zorgen door de gastheer zijn uiteraard erg aangenaam. De B&B ligt tegen de markt. Het ontbijt op bed was heel tof. Zeer zachte prijs voor dergelijke ligging en service!

  Train was late getting into Ypres/Leper and walked across town to the B&B only to find the door was locked, blinds drawn and TV on. Knocked on the door and got no answer, called the contact number, got voicemail, texted and got no response. It was raining. It had been a long day. Eventually heard back from the owner a few hours later. He was not impressed that I was late and wasn't interested in the reason why and proceeded to blame me for being late and berated me in a number of back and forth emails. Very unimpressed with this individual. In the end, I was left on the street in Ypres left to look for a place at 9pm in the rain. I would strongly recommend anyone who decides to stay here calls ahead to make sure you don't find the door locked!

  I have been to Oude Houtmarkt several times over the years and have always found it comfortable and friendly. It is very well located and offers access to the centre of Ieper without the noise of being in the Grote Markt. Better prices than less attractive hotels, too.
