A very small and characterful bar / music room in 1930's decor, run by the highly entertaining Jean-Michel. We dropped by mid afternoon, so it was fairly quiet. Great music and remarkably reasonable prices especially compared to the touristy ripoff places elsewhere. Would STRONGLY recommend checking it out.

Full of charisma! I saw a live performance of the Jeremy Dumont Quintet featuring Godwin Louis. it was great. The interior design and acoustics are remarkable! The waiters are very kind and super effective. Places like this definitely add something special to cities.

A loose jazz bar with worn-in class. The people are packed in and lively. Cool and friendly service. An all-nighter kind of place, or a weekend afternoon spot for quality live jazz. Definitely a special bar in bxl.

Where do I begin... For me, L'Archiduc is an extraordinary place in Brussels. The interior is so unique, breathing classy art deco style. During the week it's a cozy jazz bar, perfect for a good talk or some philosophising. In the weekends it attracts a more trendy crowd and you can enjoy live music/djs. If you're lucky, you might suddenly find yourself listening to someone who spontaneously started playing the grand piano. Definitely one of my favorite places!

Art Deco jazz bar in the St. Catherine area of Brussels. Delightful atmosphere and a perfect place to chill. Frequent jazz concerts, lively atmosphere, and a fun vibe. Between ~10pm and 1am on some nights it can be a bit crazy, when students arrive en mass, but even then it's still fun. Enjoy "jazz after shopping" on Saturday's (5pm to 7pm) and the same again on Sundays. Although I'd discourage "box ticking" it's a must visit place in any cultural tour of this multi-layered city.
