  This is right on Market Square, there is not a more central location for a visitor. We stayed in room 1 which was awesome. Hire of the square, lots of room, traditionally decorated and well appointed. Though the staff, which primarily run the restaurant below is busy, they do address any real need.

  7 April 2018- Didn’t even get to try the food, so this is really a review of the “service” we experienced. Waiter was rude as he sat us and demanded our order, but we initially brushed it off as a busy day and perhaps a difference of culture. Then we heard the same waiter make some extremely harsh comments to family (father, mother and young boy) behind us, which included “You don’t order to share here. This is a real restaurant, not a snack bar. If you don’t like it, you go somewhere else.” Well in my experience, snack bars know customer service and basic courtesies... We got up and walked out along with that family because we couldn’t believe the disrespect. According to that family, the waiter had also made some racist remarks. Preserve the charming impression Bruges has made on you and avoid this place. So sad. We walked across the square to La Civiere d’Or and had a delightful time.

  I could not believe that I have found, totally by chance, this amazing place when I was looking for a place to stay in Bruges!!! Thank you, Google Earth! The location is great, in the middle of the Market Square, one of the best and amusing spots in the city! This historical and beautiful building is dated from 1302 and “few” years later, in 1997, the place became a charming B&B. The room where I stayed in is simply awesome, stylish, spacious and very well decorated! The big chandelier made of crystal, the old and elegant furniture, the tapestries and the big windows overlooking the Market Square give a magic and dreaming atmosphere to the place! I felt like a princess in my own castle! But, I needed only to go downstairs and drink the delicious Belgian beer to go back to the present! This is because besides having the B&B, the place has also an amazing and gastronomic Bistro-Brasserie, which came before the rooms. By the way, it was very amusing having our good breakfast there, in the same place where, few hours later, we tasted many different and delicious beers! So, the staff was nice, the room very tidy and comfortable and the location excellent, only few steps away from many other good touristic spots! What’s more, during summer there is also a good open market just in front of the hotel, where we could taste delicious fresh fruits, cheeses, cakes…as we had in our room a table for 6, we could have an unforgettable lunch “at home”! I strongly recommend both, the city and this amazing place. As the Huyze die Maene Exclusive B&B’s website says, we were really impressed by the beauty and magic of medieval Bruges!

  This is our third time staying here and we love it. The rooms, the location, the views, and the staff are all perfect. They went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic (made even more so by the fact my partner and I got engaged). Would 100% recommend this place to everyone!
