  Easy to get to by car. On the 95 bus route into the town centre. Based myself there to visit the Oxford Road military cemetery. Good choice of food for the included breakfast. Continental and eggs and bacon. Rooms clean, tidy and air conditioned. Only criticism is that one can hear other people snoring. Evening meal beef, chips, salad with salad and goats cheese wrapped in bacon followed by vanilla and chocolate ice cream excellent.

  Great hotel, huge breakfast. Very handy for trips to Ypres salient and the Menin gate. Off road parking in it’s own car park

  We had great expectations of the best western Flanders lodge in Leper but after four days we left totally disappointed with the overall experience. The staff, although superficially friendly are with the exception of one lady at front of house basically incompetent when it comes to dealing with any kind of problem. On the first morning of our stay we informed the lady on reception of the fact that we'd requested a king size bed for the four day stay. It was Valentine's week and we were spending the week together whilst combining this with the opportunity to visit the war graves in Flanders and pay our respects. The king size bed was in fact two single beds crudely pushed together with no mattress topper to even cover the big gap between the two beds. Very romantic with my other half getting stuck in the hole at regular intervals. This initial humour then turned to ultimate disappointment as although we reported this apparent oversight on no fewer than four separate occasions. We received lots of apologies but this was just lip service culminating in one particularly rude lady on reception saying the matter had NOTHING TO DO WITH HER!! When asked when the manager would be in we were curtly informed NOT FOR ANOTHER THREE WEEKS!! so you have a hotel with no manager and no one willing to take any responsability. My advice to anyone considering staying here is simply don't. If you have a problem it will not be dealt with. No management equals no accountability. P.s the breakfasts are nice.
