  A well appointed Holiday Inn in the heart of Brussels. Close to many landmarks and sightseeing options.

  Coming towards Brussels from the east, accessing this hotel is not too hard with it only being slightly off the main road followed by a large roundabout (look for a small shell garage at the top of the road). I would not exactly say that this is the most prestigious looking hotel I have ever stayed at when looking from the outside but it certainly fits the bill on the inside. Reception staff were excellent, helpful and friendly with both check-in and out being exceptionally quick and painless. The restaurant (although combined with the bar and quite small) staff and actual food were good, prices we found to be average. Breakfast was also of an excellent standard with cooked and continental alternatives being available and continually refreshed. Proximity to public transport / metro stations was also pretty good - so long as there is not an EU summit going on when the closest metro station (Schuman) will always be closed and no parking will be allowed anywhere near the hotel ! Do not expect a room-with-a view at this hotel, but bearing in mind where you are this is only to be expected really. You are just down the road from the EU commission and a short walk to the the Cinquantenaire park and Arc de Triomphe. The pillows in our room were not too good (too long and narrow), if there are alternatives (I may have missed this) that would be good; also the sheet did not appear to fit the bed very well and became quite annoying. Noise levels outside our room were occasionally high both from staff (from about 0800) as well as other clientele. Wi-Fi was of a good speed and fully available throughout our stay with no problems; other facilities in the room included a fridge with mini-bar, a room safe and iron/ironing board. The room cleanliness was ok but despite this the levels of dust were very high. You also have tea and coffee making facilities with sugar but there was no creamer provided, despite asking for some, this never arrived. The prices asked for parking overnight (weekdays) I feel were a little excessive, the weekend rates however are not so bad. On a first-come, first-served basis there are only 6 or 7 spaces available in underground parking (access immediately next door to the hotel) and be ready for it to be a little tight, take your time. It was not a problem leaving the car there for a few hours on our last day post checking out – a nice touch.

  It is very close to the European Union paliment. It is probably about 100 meters. It's reasonable price compared to location. Very close to the bus terminal to Brussels Airport is also, maybe 100m. Staff are friendly and breakfast is reasonable for the price. It is good not to expect much. The hotel room is clean and comfortable. The worst thing is that the elevator is very narrow. It is about three people in size and has only one elevator. During the morning check out time, it is good to use the stairs.

  My room was extremely clean and spacious. The bathroom was also clean and the shower was warm and powerful. The heating for my room seemed to have broken though; I turned it all the way to the top because I cold but the temperature definitely did not change.
